baking sodaPurified soda has an unlimited number of applications. It helps to keep the family healthy and the house clean. It is a great cosmetic. In addition, everyone can afford it.

Cleaned soda in the kitchen

Soda is a popular addition used for baking cakes. This is probably the first association that comes to mind when we hear the name. However, replacing baking powder is not the only task that we can entrust to clean soda in the kitchen.

We dispose of pesticides from fruits and vegetables

soda and vegetable washingIn shops with healthy food you can find products that enable you to remove bacteria and pesticides from fruit and vegetables. They are usually quite expensive and not always effective. If you have purified soda at hand, and even better - vinegar and purified soda, you will get rid of pesticides for a proverbial zloty and, what's more, you will do it with 100% efficiency!

First 2 minutes - immerse fruits or vegetables in a solution prepared with 1 liter of water and half a glass of vinegar, apple vinegar or 2-3 teaspoons of citric acid. After 2 minutes the fruit will be free from bacteria such as E.Coli, Listeria or Salmonella.

Next 2 minutes - immerse fruits or vegetables in a solution prepared with 1 litre of water and 1 copied tablespoon of purified soda. This way you will get rid of pesticides.

Rinse fruits or vegetables in clean water after these treatments.

Combat unpleasant kitchen odours

soda and fishBefore frying the fish, soak it for about 10 - 15 minutes in a baking soda solution and then rinse it. In this way, the smell of fish will be less intense, and at the same time, the splashing fat will not dirty the kitchen.

Add soda to the water in which you cook cauliflower. A spoon of soda allows you to maintain the white color of this vegetable and reduces the intensity of the unpleasant smell emitted during cooking.

We serve tasty dishes

Purified soda successfully replaces baking powder. In this way, acidity regulators such as disodium pyrophosphate or sodium lactate are eliminated from the diet. 1 teaspoon of soda falls on 2-3 teaspoons of baking powder. You should also remember to add something sour to the baking process using soda, e.g. lemon juice, grated fruit, buttermilk, sour cream, etc.

For those who haven't tried yet, we recommend fluffy omelettes. Add half a teaspoon of soda to your favourite recipe for every 3 eggs. Delicious!

Other kitchen applications

Purified soda helps to get rid of unpleasant smell from the hand, e.g. after cutting onions and garlic, or binding fish. Soda should be used just like soap.

A solution made with half a litre of water and 3 tablespoons of soda is the ideal detergent for washing worktops, cookers and fridges.

Soda can also be used to wash the fittings (on dirty places, put the paprika from the soda and leave for about 1 hour, then rinse) and to disinfect the drain (add 3-4 teaspoons to the drain and pour vinegar to produce foam, rinse after 10-15 minutes.

Cleaning the house

Cleaned soda is perfect for keeping the house clean. If you can't use traditional laundry detergents (e.g. because of an allergy), clean soda and washing nuts will perfectly replace the washing powder. Just pour ¼ of a glass of soda into the container and put the walnut bag with washing machine. Soda has water-softening properties, so you don't need to use washing machine-protective softeners.

Soda left overnight on a dirty carpet will remove stains and dirt. For a better effect, it is worth repeating this procedure several times.

Mould and other dirt on bathroom tiles or shower curtains can be removed with a mixture of 2 tablespoons of soda with ½ litre of water.

Soda will also help to clean children's toys. Just immerse them in a solution of ¼ glass of soda and a quarter glass of warm water.

By sprinkling with baking soda cleaned with various objects with an unpleasant smell, we can get rid of the unpleasant smell. Such a solution can be used e.g. in footwear or ashtray.

Purified soda for beauty

Cosmetics for a zloty? It is possible.

Soda and beautyHalf a glass of purified soda added to the bath cleanses the skin and smooths it beautifully.

A glass of water with a dissolved teaspoon of soda will help wash your hair. After massage into the hair, rinse it with water with 1 teaspoon of apple vinegar or lemon juice. This method of washing hair has one more health aspect - it helps to get rid of dandruff.

If you do not want to use toothpaste (e.g. because you avoid fluoride) try a hand-prepared toothpaste. Mix 2 teaspoons of purified soda, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of xylitol and add a little bit of essential oil.

Soda is also used as a natural deodorant. To neutralize the acid on the skin and get rid of the unpleasant smell, apply a pap of soda and water to the skin under the armpits.

These are just some of the applications for baking soda. Those involved in a healthy lifestyle certainly use this specificity on many other occasions. The most important thing is that soda is a great alternative to products containing preservatives, aggressive substances or allergenic fragrances and is effective in fighting for our health (e.g. by removing pesticides from agricultural crops).
